Super G - Devon
Valley Fair, 200 W. Swedesford Rd; opened in early 1998 as the last of the six Philly-area Super G stores; immediately after the chain was acquired by Giant-PA's owner Ahold, and the stores had to be divested. This store was allowed to remain Super G's only PA store, as it wasn't close to any other Giant, but it closed a year and a half later anyway due to low sales (a Super Fresh is within walking distance, not to mention this store is impossible to see from the highway). Divided between Linens & Things and Petsmart; the Linens & Things half is currently vacant.
Super G/ Shop n' Save/ Acme - Norristown West
Park Ridge S.C., 2761 Ridge Pike; opened as Giant-MD's Super G in 1994, replacing a Thriftway/ former A&P that was demolished. Sold to Supervalu in 1998 after Giant-MD merged with Giant-PA, as there's a Giant-PA nearby in Audubon. Became Shop n' Save, which closed in 2001 along with the Laneco chain. Reopened as Acme in 2003.
